General Information

Private Sites

We have six private sites that you can book for you and your campmates. They range in size and location and are numbered in order of the distance they are away from Base Camp with 1 being the closest and 6 being the furthest away. Campsites 1-3 have picnic tables.  Campsites 4-6 are more remote without picnic tables, but beautiful and worth the hike.  Please scroll down for more details about each site.

General Camping at The Canyon

The Canyon is an area surrounded by small mountains and rock walls, excellent for rock climbing.  It has two large canyons that come together forming a large general campground and communal activity area.  Show up, hike around, and pick a spot that is perfect for you and your campmates.  There are several communal fire pits to choose from and some really cool places to explore. 

All campsites are rustic.  The bathroom, showers and drinking water access are located at Base Camp.  We have a beautiful outdoor nature shower for you to enjoy or an indoor shower and indoor toilet. Please leave our campsites clean, respect nature, and take your trash with you when you leave. 


Pricing:

All campsites are $10 per person, per night with a 25% off discount for camping during the week and on non-holidays.

*Pets are allowed off leash; however, if they are ill behaved, a nuissance to other guests (barking), or chase/attack other animals, you may be asked to restrain your pet or leave the ranch.


*Fires are a privilege, not a right.  We live in a fire danger area.  As such, we reserve the right to ban fires during high winds or extremely dry/hot conditions. Please do not use our fire extinguishers to put out fires unless it is an emergency.  

Private Sites

#1 The Well

The Well is close to an old well and pasture watering site and has an excellent view of the original ranch, horse pastures and surrounding mountains. It is closest to the parking lot.

#2 Boulder City

 Boulder city has a beautiful backdrop of boulders that offer afternoon/early evening shade.

#3 Ring Side

 Ring Side is so named due to its excellent view of the horseback riding arena and horse pastures. It is closest to the dirt road; however, there are only two properties past us so we have minimal traffic. Distance to parking: 30 second easy hike

#4 Owl's Nest

 The Owl's nest is named after the local owl who likes to stop by for a nap several days a week. It has beautiful boulders and a tree canopy for all day shade.

#5 The Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is a very large old tree that has an outstretched canopy for all day shade.  It is a magical place!

#6 Lookout Mountain

 The hike is worth the views as you can see the entire valley and surrounding mountains.  You can also see the entire ranch and all of the horses playing in the distance. You'll feel on top of the world.

The Canyon

Explore and choose your own site!

You can camp anywhere in The Canyon!  Drive up, park, explore and camp! It is first come, first serve; however, it is a large area and never fills up!


The Canyon has several communal fire pits and also hosts the rock climbing wall and the community game area with a sand volleyball court, horseshoes, bachi ball and other fun games.  Have some fun and mingle!
